In September, my mother and I visited Nepal. While in Kathmandu, we befriended a couple of Americans, Amanda Contrino and Joshua Bookman, who were getting married at a tiny village about an hour outside of the city and scored an invite. The event caused a great stir with the people in the village. A woman asked if my mother would pose with her for a photo.
